Ray Lewis was back on the practice field but is not yet eligible to return to play for the Baltimore Ravens.
On the other hand, the Ravens could have linebacker Terrell Suggs available on Sunday, as he tries to play through a serious biceps tear, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun. Suggs suffered his injury in Sunday's game, but might be available to play against the Redskins this week, says Ravens coach John Harbaugh.
Lewis is not eligible to return yet from injured reserve, where he has been since a triceps tear, and the team issued the following statement from him as he prepared to practice Wednesday.0
“I’m making progress and will practice some today. But, the story shouldn’t be about me right now. We’re playing the Redskins Sunday, and I am not eligible to play. If I can help prepare my team in some way for that game, I will. When I know I will play in a game, or when I play in game, I will say more then," Lewis' statement said.
