As Lindenwood cornerback Pierre Desir was featured Tuesday night on ESPN in its Draft Academy series, the small-school standout was having dinner with the Cleveland Browns' coaching staff.

Desir is having a private workout today at Lindenwood for the Browns.

Desir has previously visited the New Orleans Saints. He's regarded as one of the top small-school draft prospects and is expected to be a second-day draft target.

Desir excelled at the Senior Bowl and East-West Shrine all-star games and has prototypical size at 6-foot-1, 198 pounds.

He improved his 40-yard dash to 4.52 seconds at his campus Pro Day workout despite cold, rainy conditions after running a 4.59 at the NFL scouting combine. He also registered a 38-inch vertical leap, three inches better than his combine performance. He did an 11-1 broad jump at the combine.

Desir intercepted a pass in the Senior Bowl.

Desir is a former Washburn player who transferred to Lindenwood.

Desir is instinctive with quick reactions and is known as a high-character individual who's married withtwo daughters.

A native of Port Au Prince, Haiti, Desir moved to St. Louis with his parents when he was four years old.

In 2010, his grandfather and a cousin died in the earthquakes that devastated Haiti.

In 2013, Desir won the Cliff Harris Award given to the nation's top small-school defensive back as he recorded 33 tackles, eight pass deflections and four interceptions with one forced fumble.

In 2012, he had 60 tackles and nine interceptions with one sack.
