Linebacker Maybin signs with Bengals
Former Bills first-round pick now with his third NFL team. Terry McCormick
The Cincinnati Bengals on Friday announced that they have signed linebacker Aaron Maybin to a futures contract.
Maybin was a first-round pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2009, but struggled there and was released before the 2011 regular season. He then latched on with the New York Jets and had six sacks as a pass rush specialist in New York in 2011.
However, the Jets released him last November and he went unclaimed and unsigned through the remainder of the 2012 season.
