The Detroit Lions have signed veteran defensive tackle Justin Bannan, says Mike Klis of the Denver Post.

Bannan is entering his 12th NFL season, and is expected to lend some experience for the Lions behind former first-round draft picks Ndamakong Suh and Nick Fairley.

Bannan had 42 tackles and made 15 starts for the Denver Broncos last year.
