The Detroit Lions, who are constantly shuffling their secondary, have found a new piece to add to the mix.

They claimed cornerback Brandon McDonald off waivers today from the Arizona Cardinals, according to Tom “Killer” Kowalski of

McDonald, who was let go by the Cleveland Browns in early September, had been in Arizona since then and appeared in two games for the Cardinals. McDonald started 27 games over the previous three seasons for the Browns, and was a fifth-round draft pick in 2007 from Memphis.

It’s not known yet what move the Lions will make to create a roster spot for McDonald.
