Both players would fill real needs in Detroit National Football Post
The Detroit Lions are hosting running back Reggie Bush and safety Glover Quin at their training facility in the hope of adding both players to fill sizeable gaps in the roster.
Bush has long been linked to the Lions and he could instantly become the team’s top back. He arrived this morning, according to Tim Twentyman of the team's Web site. Bush would pair with Mikel Leshoure and be proof that the Lions are not considering a future for Jahvid Best. Bush has been a more complete player since he left New Orleans and could add versatility to the backfield.
Quin, the Houston Texans safety, would fill a pressing need for Detroit. The Lions have not re-signed Louis Delmas yet and they need help across the board in the secondary. Quin is reported to be seeking $5 million per season.
The Lions have also visited with defensive lineman Jason Jones. We’ll see if they can make anything happen today.
