Lions sign Drayton Florence

The Detroit Lions have signed veteran cornerback Drayton Florence.

Florence played for the Carolina Panthers last season, playing in 14 games with five starts and two interceptions.

The 33-year-old has played for the Lions previously, as well as the Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars and San Diego Chargers. He worked out for the Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens earlier this year.

Florence will work in behind starters Darius Slay and Rashean Mathis.

Florence has 486 career tackles and 20 interceptions.
