Former New York Giants cornerback Aaron Ross tried out for the Detroit Lions on Tuesday, according to a league source.
Ross is a former Giants first-round draft pick.
He was back with the Giants last season prior to being placed on injured reserve with a back injury.
He signed a three-year contract in 2012 with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but was cut one season into the deal.
For his career, Ross has 11 interceptions 30 pass deflections.
The Lions wound up signing Cassius Vaughn to a one-year contract after meeting with Josh Wilson, who signed with the Atlanta Falcons, and Ross.
