The Detroit Lions looked at potential reinforcements at kicker, linebacker and cornerback, signing one player to the practice squad.

The Lions are sticking with veteran kicker David Akers for now, but he can't afford many more missed field goals

The Lions worked out kicker Havard Rugland, "Kickalicious," who was with them during training camp, as well as kickers Olindo Mare and Justin Medlock.

They also worked out cornerback Akwasi Owusu-Ansah and linebackers Gary Guyton, Doug Hogue, Jon Morgan and Julian Stanford. Owusu-Ansah signed a practice squad contract.
