Jake Locker probably could have gone back into Sunday's game against New England with his injured left shoulder, but with the Titans down multiple scores, there was no need to risk it.

However, Locker apparently separated his non-throwing shoulder while trying to tackle New England's Patrick Chung, according to TitanInsider.com.

“I felt like I could go back in, and I let them know that,” Locker said. “The medical staff made the decision they did.”

Locker finished the game 23 of 32 for 229 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He also lost a fumble on a sack that was returned for a touchdown.

He said he expects to play against the San Diego Chargers.

“I will get some treatment on it and feel good about being able to play Sunday,” Locker said.
