New Browns executive was critical of team selecting QB in first round. Terry McCormick
In his introductory press conference as the Cleveland Browns new vice president of player personnel, Michael Lombardi was asked about quarterback Brandon Weeden.
Lombardi, then working as an analyst for NFL Network, was critical of the Browns selecting Weeden with the second of their two first-round picks last year.
But now that Weeden is his quarterback (at least for now), Lombardi is keeping an open mind on the former Oklahoma State star.
“I think it’s going to take some time to study him. I’ve got to go through and study tapes. It’s going to take some time to formulate my final opinion on him,” Lombardi said via the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
