Respected leader returning in Washington Brad Biggs
Just in time for the beginning of their voluntary offseason workout program on Monday, the Washington Redskins have re-signed London Fletcher.
The veteran middle linebacker announced via his Twitter account that he’s reached a deal with the club.
“Redskins fans your captain is back!” Fletcher wrote.
He’d expressed his interest to return on Twitter recently, and it was figured all along he would be back in the mix. Fletcher has been a model of durability throughout his NFL career. Fletcher, who turns 37 next month, has played in 224 consecutive games. He’s spent the previous five seasons in Washington and has been selected to the Pro Bowl each of the past three seasons.
