Louis Delmas still is not 100 percent but the Detroit Lions safety is expected to make his long-awaited 2012 debut on Sunday at Philadelphia.

Delmas has missed the team’s first four games after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery Aug. 7, more than two months ago.

The Lions secondary, as usual, has been suspect and Delmas can upgrade it. Because he’s missed so much time, he could play in a part-time role, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

“First game back, so we have to be patient with stuff a little bit," Lions secondary coach Tim Walton said, according to Birkett. "It's his first one back, so you don't want to overdo it. You got to let him get back in the flow a little bit."

Delmas was held out of practice on Friday and is officially questionable. He practiced for the first time since the scope last week.
