Love not surprised Patriots released him
Defensive lineman Kyle Love said he is happy to be with the Jacksonville Jaguars, after they claimed him off waivers last week from the New England Patriots.
But Love, who has been diagnosed with Type-2 diabetes, did get in a final parting shot at his old team after going through OTA work with the Jaguars on Monday.
“That’s how they run their business up there; veteran guys who have been there for years and put in a lot of work get treated like rookies,” Love told the Florida Times-Union.
Love said being let go by the Patriots will motivate him in the same manner that going undrafted as a rookie did.
“I’m very confident because I’m a fighter and I’m a warrior,” he said. “If anything, it will drive me even harder to work. It’s like a plus on my side.”
