The Tennessee Titans have fired special teams coach Alan Lowry after14 seasons in that role, per TitanInsider.

Lowry is most famous for authoring the Music City Miracle play that won the Titans a wild-card playoff game in 1999 and propelled the franchise to its only Super Bowl appearance.

It is expected that assistant special teams coach Chet Parlavecchio will take over as the Titans special teams coach.

Tennessee's special teams were decent this year, as Darius Reynaud had three touchdown returns for scores. Kicker Rob Bironas did not have as good a season this year, but still made 25 of 31 field goals. Punter Brett Kern had one of his best seasons, averaging 47.6 yards per punt.
