Minnesota Vikings rookie defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd had his left knee checked out, and the magnetic resonance imaging exam confirmed that there was no structural damage.
Floyd is set to return to practice soon.
It's a relief for the first-round draft pick from Florida after sustaining an injury against the Houston Texans on Friday night.
“No worries on my part,” Floyd told reporters. “At the end of the day, it's (coach Leslie Frazier's) call, not mine. I knew it was okay right after it happened. I knew there was no problem.”
Floyd had a tackle for loss in his NFL debut.
Added Vikings coach Leslie Frazier: “Not overly concerned by everything I have been told. It's just sore, so we want to err on the side of caution.”
