In an effort to enhance the realism of “Madden 10,” game designers at EA Sports have adjusted the ratings of every player in the game to ensure they reflect the ability of their real-world counterparts. This strikes me as unfair to the videogame characters — why should the trials of real-life Vince Young interrupt the estimable career of PS3 Vince?

Upon finding the leaked rosters earlier this week, it was obvious the majority of the upgrades are tweaks: a point here, a point there, designed to smooth out the competition. I wasn’t interested in such small adjustments. I wanted winners and losers.

To this end, I armed myself with the complete rosters from the 2009 and 2010 versions of the game and got to work. Which players benefited from EA’s housecleaning, and who fell by the wayside? (We’re excluding second-year-players and specialists from consideration, as it is generally agreed EA Sports has no idea how to evaluate rookies or punters.)

Way to mention that the rating system is different ever year. Oh wait, you didn't. This time they are trying to use more of the spectrum and therefore comparing ratings is inaccurate.

On '09 if you can somehow manage to trade for Cutler and put him on Da Bears they'll make the Supe Bowl when you run it on simulation. Woot?

Also, how can Alston be a 45 when Sam "the Sham" Williams is still on the roster to take up that role?

How could Omar Gaither's player rating possibly decrease by 22, That's unbelievable. Madden 10 stats are really inconsistent, plus I'm Omar's cousin.

Hmmm. . . So, C-Mac, Omar's "cousin": Who cares, Omar had a completely boring season and didn't deserve the ratings he got in last year's edition of the video game. Guess what, I'm someone's cousin too. Bob's cousin. Doesn't mean I know a thing about Bob. Gee, you people relax already!!! The Madden team updates the roster and player ratings all season long anyway. If it is so displeasing don't buy the games anymore. Then, and only then will EA even look in your directions. Right now they are saying "Buy this game again!" and you all say, "Hellz Yeah, gimme that sucka!"

Oh come now, get real already, better yet, get jobs.

Look every year its tha same thing, people argure bout tha player ratings its getting really sad. If u have a problem with there ratings then why dont u change them to wat u want them to be instead of crying bout it every year. Get tha pacifier out ur mouth an just chill.
