Super Bowl XLVIII MVP Malcolm Smith of the Seattle Seahawks underwent a procedure in his left ankle, reports The Seattle Times.

Smith was spotted by reporters in a walking boot during an organized team activity practice.

“He had a couple little things in his ankle he had to clean up,’’ Carroll told reporters. “He’ll be OK.’’

Smith is expected to be back by the start of training camp. He had 92 total tackles, two sacks and two interceptions during the 2013 regular season.
