Self-professed Bears fan admits to mistake Brad Biggs
The man who slapped Chicago Bears wide receiver Devin Hester in the back of the head at a Des Plaines, Ill., casino pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery.
“He smacked someone he shouldn’t have,” said attorney Frank Kostouros of his client Daniel Rago, of Mount Prospect, Ill., according to the Chicago Tribune. “He’s been sorry from day one for what happened. He feels terrible about it.”
Kostouros says his client is a Bears fan and a Hester fan and believed Hester was someone cutting in line at Rivers Casino on Oct. 14.
Rago was sentenced to one year of probation and given 80 hours of community service. He must be evaluated for anger management and had to pay $315 in court fees and fines.
