BEREA, Ohio (AP) -- Cleveland Browns coach Eric Mangini is questioning whether the Detroit Lions faked injuries to slow down Cleveland's no-huddle offense.

Mangini, who bemoaned the final, chaotic seconds of Cleveland's 38-37 loss Sunday, noted the Lions had several players leave the field injured, only to return. Mangini was asked if he was accusing Lions coach Jim Schwartz, whom he worked with previously in Cleveland, of having his players fake injuries.

"I'm just saying there were a lot of them," Mangini said Monday.

Mangini also feels the officials made an incorrect pass interference call at the end of the game, which gave the Lions an untimed down on the Cleveland 1-yard line. On the extra snap, Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford threw his fifth touchdown pass.

There were no fake injuries. Just a fake coach involved.

I guess that's one way to try and save your job, admitting that an opponent used a tactic from which your pathetic Offense could not recover. Either your players make the plays or they don't. We're talking the Detroit Lions here. Pretty lame comments from a gutless coach.

Say what you want about Bellicheks decision of 4th down last week. He took the blame and never once accused his players or the opponents of being responsible for any part of the mised 4th down play. Mangini apparently didn't learn that part while at NE.

Just grasping at straws.... To point the blame.
He should just man up! But he won't

I can understand blaming your division rival for cheating (when your bench is doing exactly the same thing), but multiple blame games aren't going to cut it. Blaming the Detroit Lions for cheating? Wow does this look cheesy.

He called the FRIGGIN timeout after stafford injury, and the Pass Interference that allowed Stafford to come back into the game.

Plus I am pretty sure when he was with NE he did this with Willie McGiniest on a goal line stand against Indy. (Might have been Romeo though) Its not what lost the game for them... it was moron Poteat Tackling CJ in the endzone on a pass he could not have possibly caught.

Maybe that's what's also wrong with RB James Davis, DE Keith Grennan and all those other FAKERS on the Browns IR.

WHY OH WHY MUST THE WORLD CONSPIRE AGAINST MANGINI?
