Manning talk in Arizona no surprise to Kolb

With the Peyton Manning watch expected to dominate the NFL until the veteran quarterback has a new team, speculation will run wild where he could land.

You can debate all day Manning’s future in Indianapolis but a $28 million option bonus due March 8 makes it unlikely he sticks with the Colts.

So, where does he land?

Pick a team without an established star quarterback and begin the discussion. One team that has popped up repeatedly is the Arizona Cardinals, who traded for the quarterback they believed would lead them into the future in Kevin Kolb.

Kolb is due his own bonus -- $7 million on March 17 according to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic – and his future remains undetermined.

“I know how the NFL works," Kolb told Somers. “Anything is possible. I just try to keep my mind clear and do what I can on my end. I plan on having a great year and being a Cardinal for a long time.”

Kolb had an incomplete first season in the desert. He missed seven games with a foot injury and then a concussion. It wasn’t what the club or he expected.

"I feel good," Kolb said. "I'd say it took three to four weeks after the season was over to not have any symptoms. Once my mind cleared, I got back to working out."

But it’s wait-and-see with Manning and you can’t rule the Cardinals out.
