San Francisco announced that wide receiver Mario Manningham will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury. Manningham was placed on injured reserve. He played in only six games this season. The 49ers had hoped he would be ready as the No. 3 receiver heading into the playoffs, but his knee never sufficiently recovered after offseason surgery. Jon Baldwin is expected to be the No. 3 receiver the rest of the season.
