Manti Te’o has gotten questions about his dead girlfriend hoax everywhere he has turned in Indianapolis at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Now, it’s time for questions about Te’o on the field. His last game was a disaster against Alabama in the BCS National Championship Game and when Te’o stepped on the field this afternoon at Lucas Oil Stadium, he didn’t help himself.

The Notre Dame linebacker was stiff and slow in the 40-yard dash. His official time, according to the NFL, was 4.82 seconds. So, now questions can commence about Te’o’s ability to be more than a two-down linebacker in the NFL. His range, burst, explosiveness and athleticism are all fair game. He checked in at only 241 pounds, too, so it’s not like he was a big body putting up an unimpressive time.

Had Te’o been in the sub-4.7 range, he likely would have cemented his place in the first round. Now, there is more for teams to be concerned about.
