Wide receiver hauls in $552,000 signing bonus Aaron Wilson
The St. Louis Rams have agreed to terms with rookie wide receiver Mardy Gilyard, according to his agent, David Lee.
It's a four-year, $2.34 million contract for the fourth-round draft pick that includes a $552,000 signing bonus, according to a league source.
The maximum value of Gilyard's deal can be boosted significantly through the presence of a fourth-year escalator clause.
The contract includes the standard base salaries of $320,000, $405,000, $490,000 and $575,000.
Drafted 99th overall in April, Gilyard was selected with the first pick of the fourth round.
The 6-foot, 187-pounder was one of the most dangerous downfield threats in college football last year.
The All-American wide receiver caught 87 passes for 1,191 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Bearcats last season.
Gilyard caught 25 touchdowns in three years at Cincinnati with 168 receptions over the past two seasons.
He piled up more than 3,000 career receiving yards.
In the Senior Bowl all-star game, Gilyard caught five passes for 103 yards and a touchdown.
