Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch is a no-show for the team's offseason conditioning program.

And the development is somewhat surprising since Lynch was replaced in the starting lineup last season by Fred Jackson.

Bills coach Chan Gailey didn't have much to say about Lynch's absence other than having not spoken to him and being unaware if the running back is planning to show up. He noted that general manager Buddy Nix has spoken to Lynch.

“You want everybody in the boat," Gailey told the Buffalo News. "That’s the bottom line in this business. If you get everybody together and headed in the same direction you give yourself a much better chance to win.

"Are there extenuating circumstances with a lot of people and a lot of situations out there? Sure there are. But if you get everybody together and headed in the same direction, you give yourself a much better chance to win.”

Yet another "character guy" that Marv Levy brought in.

It has to be said, his tenure as GM was an unmitigated disaster.

Lynch. McCargo, Whitner, Jauron, Edwards...

Sort of cemented the leaking foundation of our beloved and completely hapless team.
