Rams invested in their own despite ACL injury Brad Biggs
They’re celebrating because the bar is slowly being raised for those in their profession.
Chris Massey cashed in on Thursday with a contract extension from the St. Louis Rams. The new deal will pay the veteran $4.4 million over four seasons, putting him just behind San Francisco’s Brian Jennings and Cleveland’s Ryan Pontbriand.
The Rams invested in Massey even though he suffered a torn ACL in October and couldn’t pass a physical right now. But he’s rehabilitating well and is doing some snapping and jogging with the full expectation of being ready for training camp. That is when long snappers, like they prefer, go back to being anonymous.

I'd love to see an open competition at QB, because I think that Brennan would have a real shot at unseating both Campbell and Grossman for the starting job.
