Matt Cassel has at least taken a snap in all three of Minnesota's win this year.
Maybe that's part of the reason why the Vikings will probably trot Cassel out as their starting quarterback this week against the Ravens.
Speaking to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Cassel said that he's been told he'll start this week. Coach Leslie Frazier told reporters Cassel was more than likely going to start. It's safe to say that barring unforseen circumstances, Cassel will be Minnesota's quarterback come Sunday.
For the season, Cassel has thrown for 857 yards, five touchdowns and four interceptions.
It's been a rocky season for the Vikings at quarterback as Christian Ponder has been inefficient and battled injuries. Ponder is currently dealing with a concussion.
The organization traded for Josh Freeman, who had a horrible performance in the one game he played in this year.
The Vikings will likely turn their attention to finding a new quarterback during this upcoming offseason's NFL draft.
