Shortly after Aaron Hernandez was linked to the murder of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, former Patriots teammate Matt Light gave an interview to the Dayton Daily News.
In the interview, Light said, "I never talk about other guys, but I will say I have never embraced – never believed in – anything Aaron Hernandez stood for."
Fast forward about two months later and Light is now saying he never granted an interview, nor talked about the subject with the Dayton Daily News. Light appeared on 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston and explained.
“I was in the woods for two weeks at that time working with young people through the foundation,” Light said. “Two weeks in the woods, none of that time involved talking to a reporter about that situation that played out earlier this year.”
Even though Light is now denying those comments, it doesn't appear he was bothered too much about them, considering he waited this long to issue a denial.
