The Detroit Lions have been down the road before where their quarterback Matthew Stafford is injured.
Hopefully, this isn’t anything serious. But Stafford came out of the second quarter of tonight’s game at Oakland with an injury to his left hand. He’s right-handed so that will not be an issue but the extent of the injury is not yet known and Stafford was examined by the medical staff on the sideline.
The Lions are already dealing with injuries elsewhere and could ill afford to lose Stafford, who passed for more than 5,000 yards last season. He was playing well before he exited, completing 8 of 10 passes for 68 yards.
