The on-again, off-again season for Tennessee Titans middle linebacker Colin McCarthy could be off again this Sunday, as McCarthy did not practice all week and remained in a walking boot on Friday.

"We just thought it was smarter not to irritate it at all and let him rest, kind of like what we did in the past with him,” Coach Mike Munchak said via TitanInsider. “He feels better every day, but to come out here and get 10 snaps in individual, we really didn't think it was worth it to put him through that. Each day he's gotten better. We thought it would be better not to irritate it and evaluate him tomorrow.”T

The Titans last played on Oct. 11 against the Steelers, and they might opt to rest McCarthy until Oct. 28 when they host Indianapolis. McCarthy indicated earlier in the week tha this injury won't heal if he continues to play on it.
