McKinnie, Ravens resolve contract issue

After a day of back and forth and the possibilty of his release, Bryant McKinnie instead agreed to a reworked deal with the Baltimore Ravens, according to the Baltimore Sun.

McKinnie was scheduled to make $3.2 million in base salary in 2012, a figure the Ravens were not comfortable with. At one point in the day, it appeared as if McKinnie would be let go, as he even tweeted, "Decision is made! I'm gone!"

Instead, he agreed to a contract that lowers the base, but still allows him to make the $3.2 million if he makes all his incentives.

McKinnie is in need of a pay day because he owes $4.5 million to Pro Player Funding that is coming directly out of his checks each week. He missed a payment on the loan after the Minnesota Vikings released him making him in default. However, a new payment plan has been arranged to pay the $4.5 million back.
