Miami may be without leading rusher Lamar Miller on Sunday against New England because of a concussion. The Dolphins are tied with Baltimore at 7-6 for the sixth-best record in the AFC, but trail the Ravens in the tiebreaker for the final playoff spot. Baltimore beat Miami earlier in the sea-son.

Miller suffered the injury Sunday at Pittsburgh and is now in the league’s concussion protocol. He will have to be cleared before he can play. If he can’t play, Daniel Thomas will take over as the starter. Thomas led the team in rushing against the Steelers with 16 carries for 105 yards and a touchdown.

Miller led the team with 22 carries for 72 yards in the previous game, a victory over the New York Jets. However, Miller has not been a workhorse of any kind. He leads with the team with only 142 carries and has carried the ball more than 10 times only once in the past five games.
