Eagles quarterback Michael Vick offered some discouraging words about his injured hamstring on Wednesday.
“It’s worse than what I thought it was going to be,” Vick said, via CSNPhilly.com. “It’s just slow. It’s taking longer than I thought it would.”
Hamstring injuries are notorious to linger for multiple weeks. Vick said the location of the pull, higher on the muscle, is causing some of the added problems.
With Vick appearing to be sidelined for a while, Nick Foles will assume starting quarterback duties in his place. Foles had a great day against the Buccaneers last week, throwing for 296 yards and three touchdowns, as well as rushing for another touchdown.
If Vick's hamstring hampers him further, Foles could wind up cementing himself with the starting job for the remainder of the season.
