The Big House will be rocking when the Irish come to town in 2011. Joe Fortenbaugh
The Michigan-Notre Dame rivalry will have a new look in 2011 when the two schools meet in the Wolverines’ first-ever home night game.
The game will take place on September 10, 2011 and will be televised on either ESPN or ESPN2, according to Adam Rittenberg of ESPN.com.
"This will be an unprecedented game day atmosphere that our fans have not experienced at Michigan Stadium," Athletic Director David Brandon said in a statement. "It's a great opportunity to showcase our program, university and Ann Arbor to a primetime viewing audience. This also adds a new chapter to the storied rivalry between our two great programs."
The Wolverines are set to open the newly renovated Michigan Stadium in 2010 when they play host to Connecticut on September 4.
The Notre Dame-Michigan rivalry was renewed in 2002 after the schools took a two-year break from playing each other. The Wolverines have won three of the last four meetings and have defeated the Irish in five of the last six games played at Michigan Stadium.
The two schools are scheduled to play each other through the 2017 season and then take a two-year break before resuming the rivalry.

Michigan being so bad the last few years isn't what is the worst for Michigan.
It is that nobody cares about them anymore. I saw this story and thought...so what? ND blows, Michigan blows, and the night game means nothing for me
I won't watch it and neither will most friends/family that like CF
