RFA running back scheduled to visit with Seattle on Monday. Joe Fortenbaugh
Running back Mike Bell got himself a Super Bowl win in February.
Now, he’s got a couple of new teams interested in possibly bringing him on board for the 2010 season.
The 26-year-old restricted free agent running back will visit the Seattle Seahawks on Monday, according to a tweet from NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora. The Cleveland Browns are also rumored to be interested in acquiring Bell’s services.
The Saints tendered Bell at the lowest level this past week (right of first refusal), meaning they would get no draft picks if the running back signs with another team and New Orleans opts not to match the offer.
The four-year veteran out of Arizona averaged just 3.8 yards per carry in 2009, but scored five touchdowns and was instrumental in the Saints offense early in the year when running backs Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas were out with injuries.
Seattle’s interest in the 6’0”, 225-pound Bell isn’t surprising. We’ve been hearing for a while that the team would like to add a physical, downhill presence to their backfield to complement smaller backs Julius Jones and Justin Forsett.
And if you’re wondering whether or not the Saints would match any offer made to Bell, remember this: the team is planning to bring back Reggie Bush next season which will cost them $8 million.

Great move on the part of the Chiefs. Thomas Jones is a dynamo and I know a little boy (my son) who is wild about this running style.
Yes I can, Thomas.
