Miami Dolphins wide receiver Mike Wallace, a prize free agent signed this offseason, didn't practice because of a groin injury.

The injury isn't regarded as serious.

Wallace told the Miami Herald that he's hoping to play Sunday in the Hall of Fame Game, which may be a stretch considering the relative lack of importance of a preseason game and how pivotal the former Pittsburgh Steelers standout is to the Dolphins' outlook.

“It feels pretty good,” Wallace said. “I feel like it’s getting there.”
