Cleveland Browns first-round pick Barkevious Mingo has been medically cleared for contact, says the Cleveland Plain Dealer, citing a report from ESPN's Ed Werder.

Mingo was injured in the preseason, suffering a bruised lung on Aug. 15 against Detroit that landed him in the hospital.

He missed the season opener last week against Miami, but could be ready to play this week against the Baltimore Ravens.
