OK, this isn’t Peyton Manning news but it does involve another high-profile signal caller.
And Miss America.
Turns out Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Miss America met Monday night at a Milwaukee Bucks game.
According to the Associated Press, Laura Kaeppeler, the former Miss Wisconsin, gave a shout out to Rodgers and the Packers when she was introduced at the Miss America pageant in January. After she won the crown and attended Super Bowl XLVI, she was repeatedly asked if she had met Rodgers.
Her answer? No.
Well, after Kaeppeler sang the “National Anthem” before the Bucks game on Monday, Rodgers surprised her in a guest suite at the Bradley Center with a visit at halftime. So, a shout out to a quarterback at the Miss America pageant does work.
