Titans coach says Petrino did not come to Titans facility to talk to coaching staff. Terry McCormick
Tennessee Titans coach Mike Munchak dismissed the ESPN report that former Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino visited his staff after being fired by the Razorbacks.
Petrino said interview that he had met with the Titans' staff, but Munchak said the coach, fired after an extramarital affair was exposed due to a motorcyle accident, had only consulted with an assistant coach in a one-on-one setting.
Munchak did not name which Titans assistant might have met with Petrino, but said coaches gathering in the off-season to share ideas is commonplace.
"A lot of our coaches during the offseason spend a lot time with other coaches from other staffs, whether it be college, pro, or ex-coaches to get ideas, talk to, and to pick each others brain," Munchak said. "I think he’s spent time with one of our coaches. He wasn’t here. I think he spent one-on-one with one of our coaches"
