But crotch kick could land him a fine Brad Biggs
Ndamukong Suh will not be suspended for his kick to the groin of Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub.
But that does not mean the Detroit Lions defensive tackle will not be punished.
NFL vice president of communications Greg Aiello announced via Twitter this afternoon that the Lions have been informed Suh will not be suspended as he was last year for stomping on the arm of a Green Bay Packers offensive lineman.
But the play “will be reviewed for a potential fine,” according to Aiello.
So, the Lions have that going for them. Suh was not called for a penalty but video of the play looks, well, mighty odd. Given Suh’s past history, a fine would not be a surprise. It’s a shame such a talented football player has now become known so much for dirty tactics. Suh has yet to speak up for himself on the matter.
