Chicago Bears middle linebacker Brian Urlacher has been fined $5,000 by the NFL for a personal foul in last Sunday’s win over the Detroit Lions.
Urlacher blocked Lions guard Stephen Peterman from behind after the play was over, drawing a 15-yard penalty that backed the Bears up after defensive tackle Tommie Harris had recovered a Matthew Stafford fumble that was caused by Julius Peppers’ sack.
Fox commentator Brian Billick called the hit “bush league.”
