Week 3 of the 2012 college football season is in the books, and it was quite eventful.

Matt Barkley once again came up short against Stanford, Arkansas was obliterated by Alabama and Brian Kelly earned his signature win at Notre Dame.

With the rankings shaken up, let’s take a look at how the National Football Post stacks up the Top 25 heading into the fourth week of the season.

2012 record in parentheses and last week’s ranking in brackets.

1. Alabama (3-0) [1]
Eddie Lacy ran for three touchdowns, and the Crimson Tide defense forced five turnovers in a 52-0 beat down of Arkansas.

2. LSU (3-0) [2]
Ronald Martin and Lavar Edwards each had interception returns for scores as the Tigers notched a 63-14 victory over Idaho.

3. Oklahoma (2-0) [3]
The Sooners were off this weekend and will host Kansas State next Saturday.

4. Oregon (3-0) [4]
De’Anthony Thomas had 222 all-purpose yards on 10 touches as the Ducks rolled Tennessee Tech 63-14.

5. South Carolina (3-0) [7]
Quarterback Connor Shaw injured his throwing shoulder once again in the Gamecocks’ 49-6 win over UAB.

6. Georgia (3-0) [9]
Aaron Murray passed for a career-best 342 yards and accounted for four touchdowns as the Bulldogs notched a 56-20 win over Florida Atlantic.

7. West Virginia (2-0) [10]
Geno Smith threw five touchdown passes in the Mountaineers’ 42-12 win over James Madison.

8. Clemson (3-0) [11]
Sammy Watkins had a 58-yard touchdown run in the Tigers’ 41-7 victory over Furman.

9. Florida State (3-0) [12]
A healthy Chris Thompson ran for 197 yards on nine carries in a 52-0 rout of Wake Forest.

10. Stanford (3-0) [16]
The Cardinal defeated USC four times in a row for the first time ever, using Stepfan Taylor’s 153 yards and a stout defense.

11. Kansas State (3-0) [13]
Tyler Locket had a 96-yard kickoff return for a touchdown as the Wildcats beat North Texas 35-21.

12. TCU (2-0) [14]
Casey Pachall threw for 335 yards and two touchdowns as the Horned Frogs overcame four turnovers in a 20-6 victory over Kansas.
