Nate Burleson to visit the Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins will host a visit from veteran receiver Nate Burleson, according to a report from the NFL Network.

The Dolphins could use some veteran help at the position, given that Mike Wallace, Brian Hartline and Brandon Gibson are the oldest at the position on the roster with just five years of experience each. Plus, there's that rumor about the Dolphins are looking to trade Wallace, which the organization has denied multiple times.

Burleson will enter his 12th season in the NFL if he latches on to a team. He's never spent more than four years with one franchise.

His first three years oin the NFL were spent in Minnesota before signing an offer sheet with Seattle in 2006. After the 2009 season, Burleson signed a free agent deal with the Lions and spent the previous four seasons in Detroit.

In his career, Burleson has totaled 5,630 yards and 39 touchdowns.

His most productive year came in 2004, when he recorded 1,006 yards and nine touchdowns with the Vikings.
