Nicholls State wide receiver impressing NFL scouts Aaron Wilson
A year ago, the Baltimore Ravens found a starting cornerback and kick returner at Nicholls State when they drafted Lardarius Webb in the third round.
One year later, NFL scouts are headed back to Nicholls State to check out wide receiver Antonio Robinson.
Robinson ran the 40-yard dash in the low 4.4 range Monday for scouts at Southern University, according to a league source.
The 6-foot-2, 198-pounder will work out again at Nicholls' campus Pro Day workout, and NFL coaches and scouts are making plans to attend.
Robinson is regarded as a late-round prospect with upside.
He has registered a 36-inch vertical leap, 18 repetitions of 225 pounds, a 4.11 short shuttle and a 6.78 three-cone drill.
Last season, he caught 27 passes for 490 yards and four touchdowns while playing in a triple-option offense. He also rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns.
Named second-team All-Southland Conference, Robinson caught six touchdown passes and posted 502 receiving yards as a junior in 2008.
Robinson has previous stints at Rainy River Community College and Louisiana-Lafayette.

I had the pleasure of coaching Antonio at the CC level. Quality teammate, great attitude, and constantly looking to improve. Great hands and great route runner.
