New York Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow won't see any action in the team's preseason finale against the Philadelphia Eagles, Coach Rex Ryan says, according to multiple media outlets.
Matt Simms, the Jets' No. 4 quarterback behind Mark Sanchez, Tebow and Greg McElroy will apparently play in that contest, one that many teams treat lightly by playing starters sparingly as well.
By not using Tebow, it also means the Jets will apparently continue their policy of keeping the Wildcat formation under wraps through the preseason, waiting until the regular season to unveil the Tebow-based packaged.
