Despite his strong play over the past two seasons, the Pittsburgh Steelers don't intend to give a contract extension to Pro Bowl outside linebacker LaMarr Woodley before the season starts.

According to ESPN, Woodley will play under the final year of his original rookie contract.

He's due a $550,000 base salary.

Woodley has recorded 25 sacks over the past two seasons.

Woodley, 25, is one of the top young pass rushers in the league.

Traditionally, the Steelers let many rookie deals expire before extending them.

The Steelers could also use the franchise tag to retain Woodley after this season. That is, if it's still there in a new collective bargaining agreement that has yet to be negotiated,

Some way or another, expect the Steelers to find a way to hold onto Woodley.

This is one player that definitely deserves a new contract.

To paraphrase "LA Confidential," that should make for a Merry Christman in the Woodley household.

All the Steelers need - more disgruntlement.

If you are a guy who about guarantee's your team 10 sacks a year, that's worth at least 5 million.... and that's the low end of the scale of a veteran.
So guys like Dumerville and Woodley get played..... and by the look of Woodley's number, totally played. Teams should just work out a pay for procuction clause for exceptional players.

Sterling sliver jewelry, particularly bracelets, is a staple of fashionable women everywhere. This type of pandora beads is durable yet so beautiful. The versatility is outstanding; it goes with every outfit whether with jeans or with a designer gown. For instance, movie star Sandra Bullock wore a silver cuff bracelet to the 2009 MTV Movie Awards in May 2009. A silver cuff bracelet makes an audacious statement, yet it is lightweight and is flexible so that it can fit a variety of wrist sizes. Another popular type of bracelets is the silver charm bracelet. There are many shapes and designs for the charms that are attached to the bracelet.
