No movement on Brandon Marshall front

It doesn't look like the Seattle Seahawks will be giving Denver Broncos restricted free agent wide receiver Brandon Marshall an offer sheet at this time following his weekend visit.

Per the Denver Post, it appears that the Seahawks remain unwilling to part with a first-round draft pick.

The Seahawks have two first-round selections, drafting sixth and 14th.

Under NFL rules, the Broncos would be given the Seahawks' higher pick if they signed him and the Broncos didn't match.

At this point, there's no movement on the Marshall front.

And there's been no word of any trade discussions at this point. Of course, that could heat up as the draft approaches.

Smart move by Seattle. The Seahawks hold the all the cards! The Broncos do not want Marshall and Marshall does not want to play in Denver. Why would the Hawks pay top dollar?

Why would anyone take a chance on this guy? As I said countless times here & elsewhere he's way way too over valued by most fans,& overrated by the media. His numbers aren't suitable to a guy who merits a #1 pick & a huge contract,& this isn't even taking into consideration the many many negative things Marshall brings U. Again only 25 td's in 61 games? To put it in perspective Moss had almost as much in one year! 12 yards a catch doesn't thrill me either. I can get that out of my TE or Y receiver. Catching lots of passes is good & all,but I'm a quality over quantity guy myself. Mark my words he won't move for a 1! He may not move for a 2. Boldin is better then him & he was traded for a 3 & a 4 & they gave up a 5th to get him. I understand the injuries are probably the biggest concerns, but how are Marshalls many ticks not as big if not bigger concern. This is a guy who had Shananhan unhappy w/him & was looking to deal him because he did more harm then good,& another coach who benched him w/his teams post season possibilities in the balance,& are now looking to trade him. I thought they actually made a huge mistake trying to get a 1 for him. They may be stuck w/him now. Imagine this guy on the Broncos this year. Its got the makings of a major disaster.

To johnny you are so ignorant about brandon marshall it is no where near funny. It is actually embarrissing. Before you make a post like yours do some research. Watch some youtube. Google some stories from last odd season and through last season. Kyle orton had a carrer highlight year. That was marshall. Broncos go 6-0. Guess why it wasn't 4-0. Marshall twice scored the winning touchdown. He is so good he frees up other extremely dangerous recievers because the defense has no choice but to double the kid. And he still beats the coverage and make the highlight reel doing it. Even your boy TJ adv the media bmarsh is the best reciever in the league. You good sir johnny have no idea what the recievers go through. How they train or are specially trained per position. And one of the best telling you bmarsh is the BEST. Look for larry fitzgerald. He also adv the media marshall may be the best in the NFL. There is a reason. Your answer sounds so off its not even in the actual realm of reality. Basically maybe you should do some research first. Although marshall seems to hit women. I know his brother frank does. That may be your one saving grace.

If Marshall is on the team after the draft , look for the Bronco's to trade him for alot less. I this think they will take Greg Olson Chicago, 2011 draft pick third round for Marshall after the 2010 draft is completed. Current Price is to steep for any club. Smart move!

How, exactly, do the Seahawks "hold all the cards"? If they want him, they'll pony up. If not, he'll either have his tender traded, sign an offer sheet somewhere else, or--gasp!--come back and play in Denver.

The Seahawks have, literally, no leverage. Denver isn't just looking to give the kid away, despite what your hometown writers and John Clayton would like you to think.

Denver will eventually trade Marshall. He said he hates this "f***ing city. Gang members are trying to kill him. If denver doesn't trade him, he'll just play out his finial season, become an unrestricted free agent and sign with another team next year. Denver will be left with nothing.
