Wide receiver could still face fine Aaron Wilson
No problem, no suspension for New York Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards.
Despite his no contest plea to aggravated disorderly conduct in January on a misdemeanor assault following an altercation outside a Cleveland nightclub last fall and being given probation, a suspended jail sentence and a $1,000 fine, Edwards isn't going to be suspended, ESPN New York is reporting.
Per the report, Edwards won't face a suspension under the NFL personal-conduct policy.
Although Edwards isn't going to be suspended, he isn't expected to emerge totally unscathed.
He still faces a fine in all likelihood.
The Jets couldn't afford to be without Edwards for the season-opener against the Baltimore Ravens since wide receiver Santonio Holmes is already suspended for four games for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.
