Norv Turner appears to be the top contender to become the next offensive coordinator of the Minnesota Vikings, according to a league source.

After a run as San Diego's head coach, Turner spent this past season as the Browns' offensive coordinator. He's still under contract, even though head coach Rob Chudzinski was fired at the 2013 regular season's conclusion.

The Vikings asked for permission to interview Turner, which has been granted.
