Notre Dame is ending its rivalry for the foreseeable future with Michigan after this year. But the Fighting Irish just picked up a home-and-home with the Wolverines' top foe down the road.
On Thursday, Notre Dame and Ohio State announced that the two teams have agreed to a home-and-home in 2022 and 2023. The 2022 game will take place in Columbus, Ohio, with the following year's game taking place in South Bend, Ind.
With Notre Dame taking on a partial ACC schedule in football, it's been looking for a slew of new teams to face. Earlier this year, Notre Dame announced games against Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas and Oregon.
Despite both teams not being too far from each other, Ohio State and Notre Dame have rarely played each other. The Buckeyes hold a 3-2 series advantage, with the last meeting being a 34-20 Ohio State win over Notre Dame in the 2006 Fiesta Bowl.
